Summary:

Title: Principal Technical Consultant
Role: Responsible for the successful delivery of a number of demanding technology focused development projects. These included the design and implementation of corporate communication infrastructure for a UK wide team of technical, consulting and sales staff. Also responsible for the technical architecture, design and development teams of web service based J2EE and LAMP based solutions. Design of these products required extensive market research, detailed user requirements analysis and subsequent delivery to web 2.0 and collaborative technology arenas using Agile/SCRUM practices and extensive UML modelling methods.
Project achievements included
Hampshire County Council
Project management of a web based portal for companies looking to reduce operating costs through adoption of smart/flexible working. A php, mysql web 2.0 project integrating with a J2EE application server. Project included market and sector research carried out in conjunction with the client, user requirement analysis and capture, structured design and iterative deliver of the product using Agile.
East Sussex County Council
Developed a mentoring programme looking at smart/flexible working technologies and practices for SME businesses in the county. Project managed a team delivering a web based portal for best practice mentoring to SME’s in the county
VoxIQ
Working with this ambitious start-up company in the voice recognition sector on all aspects of their product development, infrastructure hardware and software procurement. Responsible to board level for the day to day running of teams’ technical infrastructure and the strategic design and development of the core product being brought to market by the company. Involved In the assembly of configuration management and shared software repository resources used by outsourcing partners in the USA and India. This solution delivered utilised J2EE, Java Core and Jboss JRules technology.
Intrinsic / SAS Institute (2000-2004)
Working as a product designer/architect on the companies Visual Basic then java/j2ee based CRM solutions. Duties included UML design level composition work followed by Visual Basic and Java.J2EE based product design.
Elf (1998-1999)
Software Designer/Lead Developer on the internal Gas billing application for the company during its expansion of operations in the UK. Work included UML design and development of the solution – porting of the system for Microsoft enterprise technologies and liaising with client user groups ensuring that schedules and functionality with delivered to specification and budget.
Powergen (1993 - 1997)
A contract software designer/developer within the Energy Management Centre facility for PowerGen (now eon) in Warwick. Projects included Oracle, VB and Java based metering systems, daily bidding solutions and general legacy application support.

Working on a variety of corporate projects for clients such as MySys, Informix and the UK National intervention board using smartware and Visual Basic technologies.
