There are ten of thousands “recruiters” in and outside cyber land; I am one of them. So why me? Why do you want to get to know me? Why would you want me on your team? First let me say I may not be the one to help your next great hire or the person you are looking for or find you the company you are looking to go too. What I can do is be honest with what I can or cannot do; I am not always the answer to your needs. With that said, what makes me a better choice (I should not be your only choice) for you?
There are several things but one to conceder is I understand what makes a great match. Matching is an art form and in some of today’s markets a lost art form.
Setting the M&A factor aside, over the last 30 plus years less then 3 % of the people I have placed have never been replaced. Average time with their current company has exceeded 10 years and several premonitions. I place future leaders and hiring managers the people who drive your business.
My network is a key to my success, it is my strength; a well developed relationship within that community gives me the ability to locate, recruit, and get the trust necessary to help make the proper match. Because I am focused in a global market and have over 30 years experience in recruiting, training and developing a market. I have a finger on the pulse of the industries I serve and I understand what drives profits. Because I understand that the proper hire starts with understanding both the driving business and governing values of all the people involved this includes knowing the hiring chain.
I have been in the Executive Search and Consulting business for over 100 years (OK maybe only 30 years). I find the difference between work and play is Attitude, and I am having entirely too much funnnnn. This has been the best career of my life. I truly love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything else. As you get to know me and how my practice works you will find that I don’t post on the Job Boards, neither do my best clients; they use me, I am their go between. Networking is my power and as I stated in the past I believe you can tell a lot about someone over the phone and recruiting is still a voice-to-voice contact sport. I have always found it to be bad form to just e-mail and pray someone will respond. I have over 20 years in both search and training systems in direct hire, contract and staffing offices both domestic and international. I work a vertical and horizontal desk covering 26 countries and 48 languages. I work with passive candidates and admit I haven’t done much with on line sourcing; I find my candidates to old fashion way by NETWORKING with trusted contacts I have developed over the past years. I miss talking to people direct and I find you can be anything you want in the Internet and let face it some candidates have proven that to be the case; just check their myspace page. I have often said there are only two times someone is perfect. One is at birth and the second is when they write their resume.
On the personal side I am a full time mother of 4 FUR (dogs) children, 2 grand children (see picture) and occasionally foster FUR kids until I can find them placement in permanent loving homes… May you never forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith!
