Keith Walter is an experienced technology executive with a proven track record of solving business problems and delivering large-scale solutions in telephony and high tech. Working for both startups and Fortune 500 companies, including several international engagements, Keith has displayed an ability to understand business needs and translate them into innovative technology solutions. Keith brings both his experience and passion for excellence to every challenge, whether it be early patents related to his work on a distributed voice and data PBX, innovative new uses for mainframe computers, internet-based business process improvements, or resolving outsourcing contract issues between US and India partners.

Prior to Ad Finitem, Keith was a Managing Director at KPMG/BearingPoint where he won their Top Performer award for his sales and delivery leadership of one of the most profitable consulting practices. Here he gained a detailed understanding of the wireless communications industry and the billing and care systems that drive much of the differentiation and profit of the various carriers. This knowledge was enhanced while at Amdocs where he led an architecture team that supported the rapid integration and launch of the iPhone before being asked to take over the operations of an outsourcing deal worth approximately one billion dollars involving over 2,000 employees.

In his early career at Bell Labs, he learned the value of quality and scale as new systems needed to have no more than two hours of downtime over 40 years, but also needed to function as part of one of the largest computer networks in the world. This was followed by back-to-back startup companies that provided the opportunity to learn every aspect of how business really works from strategy to support, the value of effective communications and team building, and the need to find innovative ways to quickly deliver product to market. At Amdahl and Tandem, Keith was involved in early network management definition as part of an international standards body; learned about data center management, mainframes, shared-nothing architectures, and transaction processing.

Keith graduated with a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky after completing his BA in Mathematics at the State University of New York in only three years. Ongoing training in management, negotiation, leadership, and new technology has supported his ever-increasing responsibilities.

At home in the DFW area, Keith enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, bicycling, skiing, and reading.
