Ketan has extensive experience in building financial systems. After graduating in 1991 from Imperial College London, Ketan joined Andersen Consulting in 1992 and worked as a senior consultant in various industries including utility, financial, and industrial. In 1995, Ketan was chosen to manage a team of developers in New York to produce a global consolidated P&L report for a major US investment bank. On its successful conclusion, Ketan returned to London and was offered a position to run the equity derivatives front-office technology group in London and Frankfurt for Lehman Brothers International. He developed derivative trading systems that became the European standard and which were then used in London, Frankfurt and Zurich.
After the departure of several senior traders to Chase Manhattan, Ketan was asked to join Chase Manhattan and manage its front-office equity derivatives technology group. There Ketan and his team developed state-of-the-art risk and P&L systems for equity derivatives. The Federal Reserve rated the system very highly during its 1998 technology audit.
Ketan left Chase Manhattan to start Ocean. in 1999.
