Neil O’Connell is a veteran international and domestic supply chain and logistics executive. Neil enabled industry best practices allowing clients to free up cash while improving customer satisfaction.
Neil has specific experience as the CTO of StonePath Group – a Supply Chain and Logistics provider that grew from $0 to $350 million in revenue in four years. At Oracle, Neil ran a supply chain practice and then led Oracle’s North American Industrial Supply Chain Group. He helped start and then lead the 3rd Party Logistics group at American President Lines as well as managing the North American call center, and held several sales and operations roles.
Neil has had the following client solution experiences:
Analyzed and then optimized the transportation and inventory spend and carrier contracting for several clients in the office supplies, hi-tech, building materials and chemicals industries – providing double digit, recurring savings in each case
Reduced the size and complexity of several clients distribution networks through system-wide network analysis – resulting in the better cost, more reliable delivery to final customers
Managed the outsourced logistics of several large multinationals – DuPont, Allied Signal Fibers, Westvaco Paper
Conducted mergers and acquisitions due diligence and then worked through the purchase and integration of more than 14 companies during his career
Integrated a high volume order management system with a portal based Transportation management system for several ‘big-box’ retail clients including Best Buy, Target and Home Depot – delivering sophisticated high-volume inbound sort to outbound fixed time of delivery capability for the first time.
