I lead and moderate the 25,000 member Biotech and Pharma Professionals Network, the Medical Device Professionals Network, the Medical Diagnostics Professionals Network, the Clinical Trials Professionals Network and the Life Science Mentors Network. Each of these groups is supported by an active Web Site and Forum. Our goal is to support a world wide network within our limited niche: Life Sciences, Medical Diagnostics, Medical Devices, Biotech, Pharma, Clinical Trials, health care research and laboratory work. Within this niche we provide opportunities to communicate and collaborate more widely between group members. Members are welcome to ki work.

I successfully led projects in biotech and pharmaceuticals for 19 years, meeting challenges in financial results, quality and schedule. I do this with an unusual combination of business and technical experience, MBA training, my research background and a PhD in Molecular Biology.

I am thoroughly grounded in project management processes including planning; cost, change, and schedule control; and problem resolution. I have led task forces of up to 40 staff and had as direct reports 15 project managers and support staff at one time.

I worked with Shell International Petroleum Company in marketing, training, research and strategic planning in London, Brunei, Puerto Rico and the Netherlands, with up to 46 staff. Before that I held a postdoctoral fellowship in Molecular Biology at Washington University Medical School (St. Louis) and was both a Fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge and Associate Professor in Biochemistry in Cambridge University.

I was Board Chair for 8 years of Caribbean Preparatory School, an Independent Accredited K-12 School in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

I bring to ki work strong influencing skills, experience of work in matrix and dispersed organizations, very strong computer skills, good oral and written communication, leadership, coaching and mentoring, and knowledge of molecular biology, strategic planning, and biotech & pharma processes.
